Dr.Notch will spend January and February in New Zealand on a Enduromotorcycle...I'll have eight weeks and a shitload of energy to explore the most remote spots of Maoritattooing...I have been wanting to do this for a long time, finally I find the time to travel Newzealand again after eight years! Stay tuned on this channel, I might report about my trip the next couple of weeks!
This 100 by 70cm watercolor painting I did about three years ago...I have been using it at the International Tattooconvention in Hamburg. It takes place every two years on the easter weekend and it rocks people!!!
About a long journey that ended up being dam short...
16th of Dec. 2004 a gray and cold morning in Germany...it is about threethirty in the middle of the night and we are on our way to flee the midwesteuropean winterly horror and spend some time with friends over in the USA...
WE are: E.Roth a woodcarver from Switzerland (her first time visiting over there)myself, H.Gantenberg, whom you might have heard about when visiting this Website...and last not least our small but brave companion "Juvenka".
Our destination is only twelve hours west of where we are at...great, we worked hard for this, for quite some time we didn`t do a whole lot to keep our chips together for this winter...to cash em all in at once!!!
So we rented a small Motorhome to get arround in...visit friends, meet some new people...short spend an unforgettable winter in an, for us unusual enviroment...we made the train to Frankfurt...we made all the security checks with our strange looking luggage... we are finally airborne and above the ocean...just customs we have to clear before having a great time for the next couple of month...no problem! I have done that ten or more times before...just have the photobooks of your artwork on top in your luggage...all everybody ever was interested in was chatting a little about tattoos!!! Fine with me! I allways had a fine time entering that country...not the smallest disturbance...
Well, that is all over now!!! It is different there now!!! They have HOMELANDSECURITY taking care of things now...and what that means I`ll let you know here soon... so stay tuned!
It took five weeks to put this Backpiece on the motivated young man from Gladbeck in Germany...done in November 2004

It has been about eight years since I had a chance to travel the USA with some "extratime" to stop and play with some old friends!
I'll be leaving beautyfull winterly Marl on sept. 16th 2004 to LA.
My first stop will be San Francisco about three days later to see all my homeboys from the mission district and have some of the best mexican food ever! After that I am on my way to Fort Bragg in northern California...
Finally, after not seeing these wonderfull folks of Triangle Tattoo for eight long years I am making it to their world famous Museum and Tattooparlor for the first time ever. I met these fine people at the 1995 Santa Rosa Tattoos and Blues. They were so kind to let me work out of their booth at that show. I blew the transmission on the car I was travelling with back then and exspecially Madame Chinchillas promotion work helped so much that weekend, to make the dow needed, for restoring the automatic four speed overdrive...without there kind help our 95 trip would have ended there. I will be in Fort Bragg at Triangle Tattoo and Museum starting Dec 22nd ready to tattoo my dam heart out!!! Hope to meet you there!

Before 2004 is over the journey will go on eastbound and even more north...meet me in Boise Idaho the sacred place where my tattooing career started about nineteen years ago. I am looking foreward on seeing a whole lot of old friends and I am sure ready to draw some blood at my all time Idahos favorite Eric Payne's Ink Vision!
I am gonna keep ya all posted on where to catch me after that!!!
